Let's hear from someone who's known her for years, Conrad Black.
April 3, 2010 in The National Post.
"In reality, Ann Coulter is a well-educated (Cornell and Northwestern) lawyer and former clerk to an appellate court judge -- a very courteous and civilized, well-read person who loves her family and is devoted to many old friends; is a practising main-line Christian, leads a discreet and dignified heterosexual life and has been a howling success in a very competitive field as a public-affairs commentator. She is always a television draw and has sold millions of books. She is never loud, never lewd, is only aging in the sense that all people are."

I was speaking with my good friend FairLeigh Flatulent a few moments ago, Don, and he wanted me to tell you that he appreciated your linking in Lord Black's article from the NP.
ReplyDeleteHe noted that Lord Black used a lot of big words, and particularly liked his line "Where it becomes more complicated is when she indulges her pleasure in affronting the sensibilities of the politically correct and decides to epater les bourgeois."
He told me that he thought "epater(ing) les bourgeois" probably meant telling them to bend over and then sticking a Sharp(e) Stick up their . . . you know.
Anyway, that's what he said.
I have reposted here. Thanks for the H/t
